The season

4 weekends, one frozen lake.

Every winter Lake St. Moritz freezes hard enough to host a season like nowhere else. Snow polo has been played here since 1985, horses have raced on the ice since 1907, and the Olympia Bob Run is the world’s only natural ice track.

Come for one weekend or several. The Snow Polo and Bobsleigh World Cups share 22 to 24 January, The I.C.E. follows a week later, and White Turf closes the season on three Sundays in February. These are the social weekends of the Engadin winter, and the hotels fill accordingly.
